About Us At Vorsprung Automobil
Vorsprung Automobil is a family-owned workshop that was established in 2022 by Eben Van der Vyver. Vorsprung Automobil aims to provide expert, cost-effective, and convenient servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to customers in Albany and surrounding areas on the North Shore of Auckland.
Although we specialise in Audi, Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, and Porsche vehicles, we are equipped, and our mechanics are qualified to look after other makes of cars too.
About the Owner
Eben is a highly qualified automotive mechanic trained by Volkswagen / Audi in South Africa. He then worked at Audi, where he trained as a Diagnostician specialising in flagship models like the Volkswagen Touareg, Audi R8, and Audi A8.
To further his skill set, Eben undertook management training and was awarded Audi’s International Service Manager Certification.
Eben relocated to New Zealand in 2016 and continued to gain experience at Audi before starting on his own.
With over 17 years of industry experience, workshop owner Eben Van der Vyver is now growing his business on the principles of quality and client satisfaction.

We stay up to date on the latest market trends in diagnostics and repair methods to ensure the best, most cost-effective solutions for your vehicle’s repair and maintenance needs.
We only use genuine or reputable aftermarket suppliers’ parts and fluids, i.e., Hengst, Brembo, Varta, Pierburg, INA, Meyle, Bosch, and Liqui Moly. At Vorsprung Automobil, we do not use any substandard or inferior-quality imported parts or fluids.
We are committed to ongoing industry training, including new apprenticeships, electric vehicles, new vehicle models, and in-house training to ensure our team’s abilities remain high and competitive.
